Impact is so frequently measured quantitatively; with numbers of people reached, number of mouths fed, number of services provided. We believe impact is better measured by depth of relationships, community connections, transformation, and healing. Aspects of life that are impossible to measure in numbers. This is why we’ve asked Alternatives staff to share their experiences working with people in Chicago. These stories illustrate our impact better than any data report ever will.
We worked with 2,472 youth.
138 Chicago Public Schools and community locations.
87% of our youth are low-income.
658 Total number of people trained in Restorative Justice.
