Yesterday (July 30th), the Restorative Justice Program led an “Introduction to Restorative Practices” workshop for 32 teachers and administrators from across the city.
Sponsored by the Chicago Public Schools Office of Positive Behavior Supports, this interactive training provided a basic overview of restorative justice philosophy and introduced several strategies such as restorative conversations, circles, and youth-led restorative conferencing.
One participant said, “The workshop was phenomenal, enlightening and much needed.” Way to go, workshop facilitators!
