Alternatives Trainings on Restorative Practices

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]For Chicago Public Schools

Making the change from traditional discipline practices to restorative justice in Chicago’s public schools, which previously held the nation’s record for student suspensions, requires a major shift at all levels of the district’s approach to school discipline.

Schools and their staff are called on to re-conceptualize the meaning of school community and the process of holding one another accountable. Alternatives’ provides training for teachers and coaching for schools to help them implement restorative practices and make their school safer and more inclusive environments.
