2:00 PM – 3:30 PM CDT

Since before the pandemic, the nationwide shortage of mental health practitioners was felt in Chicago and was projected to have a far-reaching impact particularly amongst people of color. Unsurprisingly, this crisis has only been exacerbated by the pandemic. Join us as we explore the reasons for the shortage and the impact it is likely to have on Chicago’s most vulnerable.

Moderated by Kathy Calderon, Director of Mental Health Operations with CDPH. Kathy has over ten years of experience working in community mental health settings and currently focuses on implementing mental health equity initiatives and strengthening Chicago’s mental health safety net system.
